Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed Gemstones:

http://www.atggems.com/Photos_New.htm

Two new gemstones have entered the All That Glitters Inventory, both faceted from our rough and cut by the owner of All That Glitters, L. Allen Brown.  One 16+ct Lab Grown Alexandrite and a 14+ct Blue Flash Amethyst.

We also have about 5000 faceted gems in the All That Glitters Inventory and many are not photographed – but there are still many hundreds that are photographed and available, throughout approximately 200+ pages on the All That Glitters website.

Gemstones in Cutting:

Having just finished faceting a Blue Flash Amethyst, we have yet to choose another piece of rough to facet in the All That Glitters Office – we do have some nice Oregon Sunstone Rough, so that is a possibility, as well as another Blue Flash Amethyst or possibly Ametrine as we have just a few more pieces of that rough available.  Stay tuned and perhaps by our next monthly email/newsletter, there will be another gem to post on the Newly Photographed Page…but it does take about 40 hours to facet these larger gems and that is typically over about a 3 week timeframe.  Hopefully there will be something new to drool over!

There is very little new rough presently and we already have representations faceted from that rough, including:  Blue Flash Amethyst, Blended Ametrine, Tourmaline, Color Change Diaspore, Yellow Beryl, Color Change Garnet, Umbalite and Rhodolite Garnet, Synthetic Alexandrite and others….

Customer Uses All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase to Create Ring:

One of our customers of 40+ years has created a custom ring for an All That Glitters Malaia Garnet purchased earlier. Using the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase, she searched for a setting that would accommodate the shape/dimensions of her gemstone, chose Rose Gold, 14kt and within less than two weeks, her Malaia Garnet was set and being worn and admired by not only her, but all those who saw she was wearing it. (Like many gemstones, this was a gem that was in our vaults and hadn't seen the light of day for about 27 years - but this beauty was photographed and available on our website, destined to be placed into a unique and beautiful setting! Any of our customers can do similar designing by themselves too - just choose an All That Glitters Gemstone, obtain the dimensions and use the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase link to find the setting that appeals to you - many choices of gold as well as platinum are available, with or without diamonds or perhaps other accent gemstones OR design something based on something you have admired previously or create something entirely original!  (See her design on our Newly Photographed Page – see above)

All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase!

http://www.atggems.com/Jewelers-Showcase.htm

All That Glitters had teamed up with Stuller Settings - Choose a Setting/Design for a Gemstone in the Comfort of Your Home!   Once you have made your choice/selection, save it.  We will be notified via email and can provide you a special All That Glitters discounted price, typically about 30% off the price that had been displayed; what is calculated is the retail price, so we must recalculate to give you the All That Glitters Discount!  Note that savings on All That Glitters colored gemstones could be as high as 75% or so off retail, since we purchase as close to the source as possible, and there are no others in between the purchase of the rough or faceted gemstone.  Contact us if you have found your special gemstone in our inventory and we can provide the dimensions if not already stated on our website – you can search the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase for that shape and those dimensions to find that special setting…

All That Glitters Website and Info Changed for March 2022!

Nothing newly faceted or in inventory, but we do have about 5000 faceted gems in the All That Glitters Inventory and many are not photographed – but there are still many hundreds that are photographed and available, throughout approximately 200+ pages on the All That Glitters website.

Tucson Gem and Mineral Show - 2022:

Attendance was down and some dealers/exhibitors did not show up at all due to travel restrictions and covid in general.  Gemstone prices are up, and the wholesale price on a 4ct Tsavorite was seen in two places to be about $7,000/ct. There was no JCK Jewelry Show.   In emailing exhibitors/associates we know, many of the exhibitors came down with Omicron.  Annual social events were typically cancelled and lectures/classes were not held.  As one attendee noted, it was not the usual Tucson and didn’t have the feel of Tucson.  An exhibitor at two shows told All That Glitters that we were wise not to attend this years show, but we only cancelled because we were in transition between coasts.

All That Glitters Returns to Main Office/Headquarters in Massachusetts:

Heads up!  All That Glitters has returned back east to our headquarters and we now have access to all of the All That Glitters Inventory – Gemstones, Jewelry, Minerals, Rough and all the other Wonderful Natural History Related Items collected over 40+ years in the gem trade.

Gemstones in Cutting:

Currently in cutting is a custom faceted Synthetic/Lab Grown Alexandrite in a cutting style that we had seen and liked, so we are doing a test cut – expected results will be about a 16x12mm Emerald-like shape and we estimate it to weigh in the ball park of 13cts.
