All That Glitters Website and Info Changes for September 2014!

Here are the changes to look for on the All That Glitters Website for September 2014!:

This Month's Special:  Multiple Gemstone Monthly Special!
http://www.atggems.com/Monthly_Special.htm
Discounted Faceted Zincite, Specials on Jewelry, Mineral Specimens, etc.

This Month's Gem News:  GIA Discusses Bumble Bee 'Jasper'
After seeing this material in the past during our travels through Asia, we purchased two fine pieces for inventory.  We have sold the larger piece, but a nice example for only $50 is available and can be found on the following page:

Newly Faceted or Photographed Gemstones:
A unique Terminated Amethyst Crystal with a large spherical grouping of Smoky Quartz Crystals is available - unique and two very important mineral dealers have never seen anything like it!
A really nice Tourmaline Crystal Specimen from Mount Mica, Maine is available.
Yellow Beryl Crystals, for a collection or setting into pendants, are available.  One includes a face that has been polished to show the wonderful etching that is available on the back.
Parcels of gemstones that haven't been seen from our vaults in 30 years have been photographed and include Ouro Preto Topaz, Tourmaline, Bi-Color Tourmaline, etc.
A large Star Sapphire (almost 6cts) has been certed; has a great sharp star and is multi-colored.  This is a unique gem for either a man/woman's jewelry piece; great for a collection because of the colors one sees!
Upon a request from one of our customers interested in Diaspore, we re-photographed a few of our smaller gems and have posted those photos.  She did make a purchase and we are awaiting its arrival/approval by the customer.  It is also possible we will design a custom ring for this Diaspore.
Old inventory that hasn't been seen for over 10-30 years has been pulled from the vault and photographed.  This includes a small parcel of Natural Sapphire which has been recrystallized so that very fine stars have been created.  This material was certed by GIA in the past and though we didn't request a cert from GIA, we did see the cert.  These 4 Sapphire cabs have very fine stars and would be very costly if entirely natural.  Priced to move.
A very nice bright yellow/gold Square Tourmaline is now available as well as a newly faceted gemstone (by the owner of All That Glitters) appears on our Newly Photographed Gemstone Page - a 17+ct Square Topaz.  A related 20+ct Square Topaz from the same piece of rough is also available; this is slightly darker and like the one above, the color is best under lower light levels and also seems to color shift depending on the lights.  Both are very large gemstones, well faceted, clean and at a low price when one considers the size and cutting.

Gemstones in Cutting:
We will have some more Opal available possibly in late September.  Prices of this material continue to climb and will continue to do so.  The time to purchase is now.  We might be faceting a few gemstones in crystal clear quartz with a rutile needle for special optical effects.  We will have more information at the end of September.

New Page Dedicated to Maine Tourmaline:
Many people seek out gemstones mined in the United States and especially Maine Tourmaline.  We have dedicated a new page to Maine Tourmaline - faceted and mineral specimens when available.  Pricing for Maine Tourmaline has always been high, and we continue to keep our prices low compared to what is on the market.

All That Glitters - New Website Design Coming….!

We have been working on an entirely new design for the All That Glitters website as the last major design change was back in 2005 and formats, navigation, look/feel, etc. of websites have changed quite a bit!  We hope to announce the release in the not too distance future.  There will be less text and reading, and easier navigation to find pages of interest.  Stay tuned - unexpected unveiling in September!
