Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed Gemstones:

http://www.atggems.com/Photos_New.htm

Nothing newly faceted or in inventory, but we do have about 5000 faceted gems in the All That Glitters Inventory and many are not photographed – but there are still many hundreds that are photographed and available, throughout approximately 200+ pages on the All That Glitters website.

Tucson Gem and Mineral Show - 2022:

Attendance was down and some dealers/exhibitors did not show up at all due to travel restrictions and covid in general.  Gemstone prices are up, and the wholesale price on a 4ct Tsavorite was seen in two places to be about $7,000/ct. There was no JCK Jewelry Show.   In emailing exhibitors/associates we know, many of the exhibitors came down with Omicron.  Annual social events were typically cancelled and lectures/classes were not held.  As one attendee noted, it was not the usual Tucson and didn’t have the feel of Tucson.  An exhibitor at two shows told All That Glitters that we were wise not to attend this years show, but we only cancelled because we were in transition between coasts.

All That Glitters Returns to Main Office/Headquarters in Massachusetts:

Heads up!  All That Glitters has returned back east to our headquarters and we now have access to all of the All That Glitters Inventory – Gemstones, Jewelry, Minerals, Rough and all the other Wonderful Natural History Related Items collected over 40+ years in the gem trade.

Gemstones in Cutting:

Currently in cutting is a custom faceted Synthetic/Lab Grown Alexandrite in a cutting style that we had seen and liked, so we are doing a test cut – expected results will be about a 16x12mm Emerald-like shape and we estimate it to weigh in the ball park of 13cts.

There is very little new rough presently and we already have representations faceted from that rough, including:  Blue Flash Amethyst, Blended Ametrine, Tourmaline, Color Change Diaspore, Yellow Beryl, Color Change Garnet, Umbalite and Rhodolite Garnet, Synthetic Alexandrite and others….
