Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed Gemstones:

L. Allen Brown, owner of All That Glitters, has been working on an Blended Oval Ametrine – after about a month, it has come off the dop and was posted last month - an 11.63ct Fancy Oval, Predominately Purple, but with flashes of Yellow as well as Bronze!

Three Hand Grooved Oregon Sunstones have been completed and two are quite important as their weights prior to cutting were about 100cts – making them quite special in this material.  We are awaiting their return from the cutter – they will hopefully be entered into our database/inventory as well as photographed shortly.  The two larger ones have been in the hands of a cutter for almost 3 years!  We have made the request to ship so we hope to have photos on line shortly…

A Wonderful 24.38ct Fancy Oval Ametrine was finished by the owner of All That Glitters last month – total time to facet was just under 40 hours; the results are fantastic – check out the photo and video.

Three Hand Grooved Oregon Sunstones are back from one of our cutters who performs magic!  Shapes include a Unique

Octagon, Spear Point and a large Emerald Cut which is the largest faceted Oregon Sunstone we have had in 40 years!

A 12+ct Synthetic Alexandrite Round has been cut by the owner of All That Glitters, as well as two Large Clear Danburites - as usual, selling at or below the wholesale cost.  (ATG In House Cutting!)

A Custom Ring was completed for a customer whom had purchased a Golden Sapphire in a previous year.  View the Renderings and the complete piece!   We can do this for your All That Glitters Purchases also!...  Find a mounting in the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase at the link further below and the mounting/setting can typically be modified for the shape and dimensions of your piece if it isn’t already a perfect fit!

 

Gemstones in Cutting:

Three Hand Carved Oregon Sunstones, two of which are large for this species/location, have been completed by our specialty cutter.  We have yet to receive them, as it was hoped that we could visit his lapidary shop and view how he does his hand grooving.  Our visit doesn’t seem possible for the near future, so we have requested to have them shipped and we should have photos of them by the end of May – however, our light box and turntable are back in our main headquarters/office, so we will only be able to obtain images with our ring light and tripod.   The lapidary unit of All That Glitters office is also back in the main office as we are on the other coast temporarily, so no new gemstones will be faceted by the owner of All That Glitters.  There is very no new rough and we already have representations faceted from that rough, including:  Blue Flash Amethyst, Blended Ametrine, Tourmaline, Color Change Diaspore, Yellow Beryl, Color Change Garnet, Umbalite and Rhodolite Garnet, Synthetic Alexandrite and others….
