All That Glitters Website and Info Changes for November 2024!
Due to International Travel in Morocco, we are keeping the Monthly Special and Monthly Gem News the same for November as it was for the month of October.
While traveling through Morocco, we will be keeping our eyes open for Fossils, as well as Fine Colored Amethyst (they do at times have the Blue Flash Amethyst we seek as well as Enhydro Quartz), Meteorites, Lapis, Malachite, Fluorite and Garnet.

Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed
Gemstones:
After selling
an Opal which was located in a parcel containing a few opals to a local
goldsmith, we noticed that two of the Opals had never been photographed and put
onto the All That Glitters website. We
have corrected this, so two newly photographed Opals are now available!
A decent number of newly faceted gemstones from our rough
returned in late August from one of our specialty cutters and can be found on
our Newly Photographed Page!

Gemstones in Cutting:
Nothing new in cutting. We might be selling our
existing and last rough to the trade/cutters or perhaps cutting some of it and
releasing it at ridiculously low prices – but then again, our prices is a
fraction of retail prices seen out there.
With the exception of one piece of rough, our Blue Flash
Amethyst will not be replaced when the last has been sold. Not only
is this material not being found, but the price has gone increased like many
other rough and faceted gemstones, not to mention the cost of fine
cutting. Other than one piece of this Blue Flash Amethyst Rough, we no
longer have any more of this material.
Recently back from Cutting! View 25 newly
photographed gemstones from our rough in the very near future – this
includes:
Ametrine, High Quality Oregon Sunstone (large ones too!), 6
pieces of Blue Flash Amethyst (the last of our rough and it is no longer
available to obtain from this locality), Lab Grown Alexandrite, LuAl Garnet
(Lab grown – sorry, these have been sold!), and two pieces of Brandy
Colored Ukrainian Topaz. We are very excited about this Topaz because
the color is special. These pieces come from a famous deposit where the
Topaz can grow as a Bi-Color Topaz – naturally occurring light Blue Topaz and
this unique Brandy Color together in one crystal. You can sometimes see
this on the market faceted as bi-color gemstones, but in order to have decent
color saturation, they typically have to be larger gems. Very interesting
color and locality and a collectors gem for those in the know; or for those who
don’t know about this deposit and these gems, one will see a beautiful
brilliant brandy colored Topaz! In the case of these pieces, the rough
was trimmed from the brandy colored section of the rough and might not have had
any light blue at all in the rough; perhaps the blue part if it existed, had
inclusions.
There is very little new rough presently and we already
have representations faceted from that rough, including: Blue Flash
Amethyst, Blended Ametrine, Tourmaline, Color Change Diaspore, Yellow Beryl,
Color Change Garnet, Umbalite and Rhodolite Garnet, Oregon Sunstone, Synthetic
Alexandrite and others….
All That Glitters had teamed up with Stuller Settings - Choose a Setting/Design for a Gemstone in the Comfort of Your Home! Once you have made your choice/selection, save it. We will be notified via email and can provide you a special All That Glitters discounted price, typically about 35% off the price that had been displayed; what is calculated is the retail price, so we must recalculate to give you the All That Glitters Discount! Note that savings on All That Glitters colored gemstones could be as high as 75% or so off retail, since we purchase as close to the source as possible, and there are no others in between the purchase of the rough or faceted gemstone. Contact us if you have found your special gemstone in our inventory and we can provide the dimensions if not already stated on our website – you can search the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase for that shape and those dimensions to find that special setting…
