All That Glitters Website and Info Changes for December 2019!

Here are the changes on the All That Glitters Website for December 2019:

One astute customer was inquiring about the wonderful Montana Sapphire we have, in an interesting hexagon shape, faceted by a cutter known for cutting Montana Sapphire.  This is a killer piece in color, size, cutting, clarity, design, etc. and priced to move – way below estimated retail market value as most of our inventory is…  Funds have yet to be received for this piece, so it is still available.  This is one of those gemstones that if we have it with us when visiting a retail store or goldsmith, cut unique color, great color and cutting, price, etc. we know that it will not be returning with us.  We haven’t been visiting many stores lately, and with about 5000 gemstones in inventory, it is always difficult to choose which stones should travel.  This would make a super engagement ring, and many are choosing to go with color for the center gemstone in an engagement ring – a really wise choice too, as color prices are not controlled by any particular business/company, unlike diamonds.  Color is controlled by rarity and the market itself, and since we purchase as close to the source as possible, and do as much faceting of rough ourselves, the savings can be dramatic.  Montana Sapphire is in demand – check out our Montana Sapphire page and find the most unique/interesting piece on the page – and you will see what all that buzz is about!...   www.allthatglitters.co/Photos_Sapphire-Montana.htm

Speaking about colored gemstones being used more commonly in engagement rings, our Monthly Gem News is an article recently published and discusses just this topic!!  (Of course, we feel that one should do whatever they desire/wish and not necessarily follow a trend – this is also our business model though it goes against all reasoning and advice – All That Glitters purchases gemstones based on 40 years of knowledge of what is unique, different, rare, unusual or just a fine example of a particular gemstone species, and not what necessarily sells.  This is also one reason why we are one of the most published gemstone business, with our gemstones/minerals appearing in Newspapers, Magazines (trade and other), books on gemstones, on various websites (especially The International Gem Society) and many more places.  The public may not see the trade journals, but almost annually we have items in the prestigious Gems & Gemology Magazine published by GIA!

Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed Gemstones:

Four gemstones are coming back from the cutter shortly, and early in December our Newly Photographed pagevshould show images and information.  We are expecting 2 Fancy Blended Flat Faceted Ametrines, 2 Blue FlashvAmethysts and 1 African Garnet.  These are being faceted by a talented young cutter, and these cuts are determined by the shape of the rough and the skill of the cutter and not by any particular cutting design previously created – so these cuts certainly haven’t been done before, and the shapes could be quiet unique!

Gemstones in Cutting:

Four more Ametrines are currently in queue to be faceted by one of our cutters, as well as two more species that we are not sure if anything will come of the rough.  Due to issues on the cutters side, completion has been  delayed.

We have two large 100ct Oregon Sunstones that will be carved and/or cut by the multi-award winning cutter, Dalan Hargrave.  We have been waiting for 1.5 years at this point for completion of these two pieces....
