Gemstones
in Cutting:
We will not
be faceting the two large Tourmalines noted in last month's monthly email - the
consensus was that the color and return would not be in keeping with All That
Glitters high quality and expectations.
One of our
cutters does have a piece of Color Changing Diaspore that he is considering how
he will work his magic. Due to the difficulty in cutting this material
and the careful consideration required, we do hope to have this finished before
the end of 2017. (Yes, that is 2017) He might have received this
rough as far back as 2015…
The owner of
the mine that produces the Ametrine rough has sent us a parcel of the unique
material we enjoy working with - all hand-picked by him based on our
needs. Three pieces are in the possession of our concave cutter. We
hope to have some finished pieces by mid to late February.
