Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed
Gemstones:
Three Natural Alexandrites
are back from GIA after being certed. Though many fine gemstones have gone up a
large amount, say 40%, Natural Alexandrite has sky rocketed. We added some information on our Natural
Alexandrite page that we found on line, where a 2.09ct, GIA certed Alex, which
seems to be decent in color change, is selling at $50,000/ct – making this one
particular gemstone over $100k. Even
smalls are outrageously priced. We have
a nice selection of pieces ranging from 34pts to a whopping 1.65ct – most if
not all are GIA Certed – and VERY well priced.
Sorry to all those that have been drooling over that 1.00ct Oval we had
in the past – it now resides in Australia and that is one of the top 3 or so
Alexandrites we have had in the past 42 years and we are always seeking this
material – current problem is that there is nothing of fine quality that is
affordable, except in the All That Glitters Collection!
Also back from GIA, is a
Radiant Cut Reddish Pink Sapphire.
An incredible Indicolite
(Blue) Tourmaline sold to a goldsmith – only lasted only hours when he saw a
photo.
We wanted to share a photo
of a Lab Grown Alexandrite/Diamond Engagement Ring that one of our customers
created using the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase.
Jewelers-Showcase.htm – who’ll
be next to create a piece??!??)
The owner of All That Glitters has finished a beautiful
17+ct Chrome YAG (lab grown garnet) as a test of rough that we offer to the
faceting community. What a beauty –
looks like Chrome Tourmaline or an incredible large example of Tsavorite Garnet!
Many new items that require perusing include: Round
Blue Sapphires(Only 2 left), MT Sapphire, Two Hand-Grooved Blended Ametrines
faceted from our rough, a Hand-Grooved Oregon Sunstone with Schiller also from
our rough, a Uniquely Colored Congo Tourmaline, Grape Garnet (only one!),
Kunzite Diamond Ring, Russian Malachite/Azurite Slice, Orangy or Pinkish
Morganite, Precious Yellow Topaz, Purple Sapphire, a 1+ct Tsavorite Garnet of a
fine color priced to move, Sparkly/Brilliant Deeply Saturated Tanzanite (a Must
See and below what one would expect in pricing), Two Robins Egg Blue Sapphire
(Wow! Can’t believe that no one has grabbed this online yet!), Mahenge
Reddish/Pinkish/Orange Spinel, 3 Natural Alexandrites one of 34pts, another of
41pts and the largest is a whopping 0.88cts, and lastly an Incan Amulet.
(Prices on Natural Alexandrite of all qualities have gone
up dramatically in the past few years – all of our Alexandrites are priced to
move, all below current pricing seen in the wholesale trade in Tucson 2023 –
screen grabs of some pricing seen are available. We just sold one of the
top three Alexandrites that we have had in over 42 years - based on
color change, size, cutting, clarity – and it also had a GIA Cert.)

Gemstones in Cutting:
Currently next to the All That Glitters faceting lap, is a
large piece of Lab Grown Alexandrite just in for those we sell to who
facet. The owner of All That Glitters is
currently contemplating the shape – perhaps
an oval – and in a month or so, this should be completed!
We have obtained some lab grown Alexandrite and YAG that
cutters have been requesting and we plan on slicing and trimming this material
for sale to the trade/cutters. Hopefully, a few pieces will be cut to
test these new items and the results will be offered for sale in the future.
- Yes! We have completed a test sample of the YAG and have
faceted a 17+ct Oval. It is
currently for sale on our Newly Photographed Page! A Lab Grown Alexandrite will follow.
There is very little new rough presently and we already
have representations faceted from that rough, including: Blue Flash
Amethyst, Blended Ametrine, Tourmaline, Color Change Diaspore, Yellow Beryl,
Color Change Garnet, Umbalite and Rhodolite Garnet, Synthetic Alexandrite and
others….
More Lab Grown Diamonds being used in Accents
or as large Engagement Rings!
More and more Lab Grown Diamonds are showing up in jewelry
stores and we have been requested to use lab grown diamond melee by a number of
our customers. Retail stores are selling large lab grown diamonds at
$15,000 per sale at times. Technology has allowed these diamonds to grow
larger, cleaner and whiter. Prices have come down making them extremely
affordable. We can supply these fine quality large lab grown diamonds at
a fraction of the cost of retail stores – so if our customers would be
interested, we would consider entering this market – or fulfilling their
request. Please drop us an email and let us know your thoughts. We
have access to all sizes and at great prices – typically 2-3ct Diamonds, with
Color of F-G, and Clarity of VS is not a problem and the prices are incredibly low…and
All with Certs and Laser Inscriptions on the girdles!

Settings - Choose a Setting/Design for a Gemstone in the Comfort of Your Home! Once
you have made your choice/selection, save it. We will be notified via
email and can provide you a special All That Glitters discounted price,
typically about 30% off the price that had been displayed; what is calculated
is the retail price, so we must recalculate to give you the All That Glitters
Discount! Note that savings on All That Glitters colored gemstones could
be as high as 75% or so off retail, since we purchase as close to the source as
possible, and there are no others in between the purchase of the rough or faceted
gemstone. Contact us if you have found your special gemstone in our
inventory and we can provide the dimensions if not already stated on our
website – you can search the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase for that shape
and those dimensions to find that special setting…
