Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed Gemstones:

http://www.atggems.com/Photos_New.htm

We have recently photographed a number of cases where our gemstones are stored and created lists of what these cases contain.   Some of the colored gemstones might surprise you as to their actual identities!

An Oregon Sunstone, with various colors but predominately light green with hints of blush, was completed by the owner of All That Glitters from rough recently purchased on the Oregon Sunstone Trip back in June!  Nice shape, great colors, super cutting!

Faceted by the owner of All That Glitters, a 38.14ct Blue Russian YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) has come off the dop.  Check out the photo and video!

After literally a 3 year wait, two large important Oregon Sunstones have been returned to us from one of our specialty cutters.  It was June of 2018 when two approx. 100ct pieces of Oregon Sunstone rough were sent to a multi-award winning cutter (DH).  As two pieces done by this cutter in the past were returned about 6 months after being received, we expected the same timeframe and that is what was conveyed to us.  That timeframe stretched into 2.5 years; he stated numerous times that he would start them soon – but that never happened and we requested them returned in November of 2020.  We sent these two pieces to a very capable cutter who studied under the previous cutter noted – and in 6 months, we finally had the results!  After a three year wait, we have two Oregon Sunstones which weigh almost 40cts each – a 35+ct Elongated Cushion with sharp corners, of a coppery orange color with some schiller and a 38+ct Equilateral-Looking Triangular piece which glitters/sparkles in all directions and is of a light yellow color.  Both are hand grooved vs. flat faceted.

New LOWER Price!:

On our Padparadscha Sapphire/Sapphire/Certed Gems Pages, we have lowered the price of three Sapphires – two of these Sapphires have Pad Certs from outside of the U.S. and the third doesn’t have a cert.  One of these certed Sapphires could possibly cert as a Pad but the other certed one we don’t feel really has much of a chance in a lab such as GIA or AGL –they are both certed as Unheated which is a plus as 99% of  Sapphire and Ruby are heated (doesn’t have any affect other than there are those who seek unheated gems of all varieties).  The uncerted gem might get a Pad cert – but it sure has a nice color.  All three of these gems have a New Lower Price…

Tucson Time!(?):

Last year we missed Tucson, but most of the shows weren’t held due to the pandemic.  It is only the 3rd time in 36 years that All That Glitters did not have a presence.  This is a show that we have been attending all these years and the last time we exhibited there was perhaps 1990.  It is our hope that we will exhibit in 2023 – which is 40 years after our first show to the public and 20 years after our last show to the public!  We attend Tucson not to buy, but to see customers on a personal one-on-one basis, as well as to mingle with our friends/associates from various parts of the U.S. plus numerous countries.  We attempt to purchase closer to the source in the gem producing countries.  We enjoy the change of weather, food, change of pace, perhaps learning something new or seeing gems/rough from a new locality.  Barring any dramatic change of events, such as a new variant, we hope to attend Tucson shortly in 2022.  Omicron is now on the horizon and the world awaits more news as this variant is studied.  It is said that the Tucson Show brings in about 65,000 attendees from all around the world, and at a bad timeframe too, as that is flu season.  Tucson 2020 was actually held without issue and within a month after the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show closed it doors, many states (and the world) started their lockdown.

New Page:

We have added a new page to our website.  A few of the cases our gemstones are stored in have been photographed along with a description of those gemstones.  Some of these do not appear on our website but only in our Inventory Lists.  We wanted to share more images of available gems to the public/trade.   We hope to post more images in the future as they become available.

Gemstones in Cutting:

None of our rough is in the hands of U.S. cutters or even on the dop of the owner of All That Glitters.  The office faceting machine is in our main office and we won’t return until sometime in 2022.  Three gemstones failed to make it through the cutting process for various reasons.  There is very little new rough presently and we already have representations faceted from that rough, including:  Blue Flash Amethyst, Blended Ametrine, Tourmaline, Color Change Diaspore, Yellow Beryl, Color Change Garnet, Umbalite and Rhodolite Garnet, Synthetic Alexandrite and others….

*** Buy Yourself a Gift for the Past 1.5 Years of Living in a Pandemic *** :

Not sure if you are similar to the owner of All That Glitters and some others we have spoken with, but many feel that they deserve something special for having gotten through the past 1.5 years because of the World Pandemic.  With all the stress, being couped up and locked down, restrictions, not being able to go out, for most no indoor dining, seeing friends or relatives…the list goes on and on and on.  We deserve to purchase something very special and unique for ourselves – literally a gift for ourselves that we would really like and appreciate for the past hard/difficult times.  Regardless of what it is, whether it is a gemstone, piece of jewelry, a painting, oriental rug, clothes, a car or bike, a vacation, fine wine – buy it for yourself and enjoy it!  SPLURGE on Yourself – You Deserve it!  We all deserve something special after the stressful years of 2020 and 2021!…  (2021 is coming to a close – Now is the Time)
