Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed Gemstones:

http://www.allthatglitters.co/Photos_New.htm

Three gemstones have recently been faceted by the owner of All That Glitters.  Unfortunately, one expected beauty will never be completed as there were some internal fractures seen after 4 hours of time were spent in beginning to facet the rough.

The completed gemstones include:

8.61ct Blue Flash Amethyst Square (think blue/purple glowing velvet)

11.45ct Blended Ametrine Specialty Pear

18.30ct Blended Ametrine Fan

Three Hand Grooved Oregon Sunstones are back from one of our cutters who performs magic!  Shapes include a Unique

Octagon, Spear Point and a large Emerald Cut which is the largest faceted Oregon Sunstone we have had in 40 years!

A 12+ct Synthetic Alexandrite Round has been cut by the owner of All That Glitters, as well as two Large Clear Danburites - as usual, selling at or below the wholesale cost.

A New Custom Ring has just been completed for a customer whom had purchased a Golden Sapphire in a previous year.  View the Renderings and the complete piece!   We can do this for your All That Glitters Purchases also!...  Find a mounting in the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase at the link further below and the mounting/setting can typically be modified for the shape and dimensions of your piece if it isn’t already a perfect fit!

Some items previously in inventory have been posted on the Newly Photographed page due to recent videos.

Due to the time it takes to set up and create videos, as well as the work once the video has been created, there is a charge of $30 for a video if requested but the fee will be returned if the gemstone is purchased.   (Set up for the video, creating the video and then the processing prior to posting or sending to a customer, requires about half a day.)

Gemstones in Cutting:

The owner of All That Glitters is currently working on a Blue Flash Amethyst Shield.  Hopefully to be completed in about another week…

Two large (approx. 100ct) Oregon Sunstones have been received back unfinished from a well known cutter after waiting approximately 2.5 years for him to work his lapidary magic.  These will be going to another very competent cutter, one trained by him in the past.  Be prepared to be dazzled by these very special pieces in the future.  The cutter is currently studying these 3 items to determine exactly how these great pieces should be worked.

NO Tucson Show in January/February 2021:

This is the first time in 67 years that the Tucson Show will fail to be held as expected – due to the pandemic.  Some shows have been rescheduled for April, but that still remains to be seen.  Guess we will all look forward to it for 2021.  We believe that next year will be our 36th year of attendance, only missing two out of all those years…(We have been attending the show not for making purchases as all of our buying occurs as close to the source as possible when we travel abroad.  The Tucson Show is something to look forward to; a trade event and a change in scenery, bright sun, warmer temps, good Mexican food (as well as other varieties), seeing friends/associates/customers, walking a lot and getting exercise, discovering and seeing interesting beautiful things whether it be minerals, gems, art, people, etc.  We meet up with customers on a one to one basis currently, but will be back to displaying as an exhibitor sometime in the future).   To see a photo of a Tucson past, visit a posting on L. Allen Brown’s Facebook page describing the photo, travels in Brasil in the early 1980s, important names in the gem/mineral trade, etc.

No Longer Accepting PayPal Payments Due to PayPal’s Odd Dealings:

We are not accepting payments through PayPal due to issues encountered with this company.  Many merchants have also left  and will continue doing this.  We will be utilizing different payment applications in the near future – Stay Tuned.  We still accept Personal/Bank Checks, Popmoney, TransferWise, Wire Transfers, Bank/Bank Transfers or other services/applications.

Contact us via Phone, Email or use our Intent To Purchase Form.  If necessary, we do have access to PayPal to receive payments – there will be a 3% charge for this service; PayPal no longer refunds their fees if an item is returned, just one of the big negatives with PayPal.  We can send you an invoice if this payment method is absolutely necessary.  For those who use PayPal, we would recommend another application for online payment.
