Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed Gemstones:

http://www.allthatglitters.co/Photos_New.htm

The Owner of All That Glitters has just finished faceting a 24.38ct Fancy Oval Ametrine – total time to facet was just under 40 hours; the results are fantastic – check out the photo and video.

New Photo/Vid of Large Neon Green Grossular Garnet as well as a Ruby photographed and offered for the first time discovered in our vaults after 25 years!

8.61ct Blue Flash Amethyst Square (think blue/purple glowing velvet) – ATG In House Cutting!

11.45ct Blended Ametrine Specialty Pear – ATG In House Cutting!

18.30ct Blended Ametrine Fan – ATG In House Cutting!

Three Hand Grooved Oregon Sunstones are back from one of our cutters who performs magic!  Shapes include a Unique

Octagon, Spear Point and a large Emerald Cut which is the largest faceted Oregon Sunstone we have had in 40 years!

A 12+ct Synthetic Alexandrite Round has been cut by the owner of All That Glitters, as well as two Large Clear Danburites - as usual, selling at or below the wholesale cost.  (ATG In House Cutting!)

A New Custom Ring has just been completed for a customer whom had purchased a Golden Sapphire in a previous year.  View the Renderings and the complete piece!   We can do this for your All That Glitters Purchases also!...  Find a mounting in the All That Glitters Jewelers Showcase at the link further below and the mounting/setting can typically be modified for the shape and dimensions of your piece if it isn’t already a perfect fit!

Gemstones in Cutting:

Progress is being made on the two large OR Sunstones noted further below.  One has been completed, and it is a wonderful color, shows some Copper Schiller and is a whopping 30+ct Hand-Grooved Gemstone!  This is an important OR Sunstone for many reasons and will be offered sometime in March.  The cutter is also working on another large piece, as well as the smallest piece of OR Sunstone Rough that we have ever sent out for cutting – BUT, the color and design should be killer!  (or as usual, that is our hope…)

The owner of All That Glitters has started faceting another Blue Flash Amethyst which should be a very pleasing shape for a pendant.  The hope is to obtain about a 15ct finished gem!

Two large (approx. 100ct) Oregon Sunstones have been received back from cutter Dalan Hargraves after waiting approximately 2.5 years for him to work his lapidary magic.  These will be going to another very competent cutter, one trained by Dalan in the past.  Be prepared to be dazzled by these very special pieces in the future.  The cutter is currently studying these 3 items to determine exactly how these great pieces should be worked.  As noted immediately above, one gem has been completed, and is an important gemstone for OR Sunstone; the second large piece should also fall into that same category.   Stay tuned for future photos/vids in the future, when all 3 pieces are finally returned…

NO Tucson Show in January/February 2021 – OR in April:

This is the first time in 67 years that the Tucson Show will fail to be held as expected – due to the pandemic.  Some shows have been rescheduled for April, but we have received notice that the large wholesale trade show by AGTA will NOT be held in April either.  Guess we will all look forward to it for 2022.  We believe that next year will be our 36th year of attendance, only missing two out of all those years…(We have been attending the show not for making purchases as all of our buying occurs as close to the source as possible when we travel abroad.  The Tucson Show is something to look forward to -  a trade event and a change in scenery, bright sun, warmer temps, good Mexican food (as well as other varieties), seeing friends/associates/customers, walking a lot and getting exercise, discovering and seeing interesting beautiful things whether it be minerals, gems, art, people, etc.  We meet up with customers on a one to one basis currently, but will be back to displaying as an exhibitor sometime in the future).
