Newly Faceted or Newly Photographed Gemstones:

Five Oregon Sunstones have just arrived back from our cutter and were quickly photographed.  We need to take better photos, perhaps add a video or two, calculate our cost and put out more info in the very near future…  We anticipate that within one week, these will be ready for sale!

We have attempted to obtain decent photos and videos of 3 Montana Sapphires – we have found Sapphires from this location to be difficult to obtain accurate color, show the brilliance, etc.  They frequently color shift a bit depending on the lights.  We are not satisfied with the stills or the videos, but thought we would post them for the time being.  We have posted 2 ovals and 1 round.

A large deeply saturated blue Aquamarine has just returned from being recut – so now it has more life, sparkle/brilliance, a better polish and weighs 6.20cts.  This was accomplished by one of our Award Winning Cutters whose work is displayed in at least one museum that we are aware of.  Considering the prices of nicely saturated Aqua coming out of Zambia in the early 1990s, ours is at the wholesale price at that time – 30 years ago!

Gemstones in Cutting:

We recently acquired Oregon Sunstone, hand-picked directly from the claim owners recently mined personal stock.  Three pieces will be hand-grooved (3) and another few pieces will be flat faceted (5).  These will be cut by two of our very capable preferred U.S. cutters!  (The five piece group just arrived and have been quickly photographed, appearing on our Newly Photographed page, but we need to obtain better photos and enter the information.)  Stay tuned for the other three pieces which should arrive by the end of August!  View our Newly Photographed Page every few days for updates…

Two large 100ct Oregon Sunstones have been in the hands of the multi-award winning cutter, Dalan Hargrave, for over 2 years.  We are waiting for the spectacular results when they are completed!...

International Gem Society(IGS) Utilizing More All That Glitters Photos for Articles!:

It is sometimes difficult to keep up with which All That Glitters Gemstones are being used as representatives of cutting, their color, the species, etc.

While perusing some IGS articles, we found three gems, an Iolite, a Tourmaline, a Ruby and some of our Synthetic Alexandrite which is a big hit with stores as well as the public; this is due to the savings not only from the cost of natural Alex, but also for the fact that it retails at $495/ct and we have it at about $100/ct!

(This is the only synthetic/lab grown material we carry as we can provide a wonderful savings, can control the cutting and purchase it directly from the U.S. lab.)  IGS has just published an article on Tourmaline and notified us that several of our photos (5) appear in the article. Unfortunately, it looks like one needs a membership to view the article:
